SAMUEL, DONALD (email: donaldsml@yahoo.com) serves as a lecturer and the Head, department of Religions and Ministry Studies at Kanana Fou Theological Seminary, American Samoa in Oceania beginning 2004. He holds degrees of B.Sc., B.D., M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. from Madurai Kamaraj University and Tamilnadu Theological Seminary in South India, and of M.Th., and D.Th from University of South Africa. His research interests include contextual theology, theological education to the parishioners and dialogue among people of different faiths. He has authored several articles, devotional writings, poems, and study guides on Biblical Studies, Church History, and Practical Theology. He has recently published the book, In the Unity of our Faith and Knowledge of Christ (ISPCK, 2008). Samuel was a Frontier Intern program of the World Council of Churches at Geneva, Switzerland; an instructor (facilitator) for four years at the International Leadership formation Program of the World Student Christian Federation, based in Norway. Then he served two years as a lecturer, one year as Vice-Principal and five years as the Principal of Kgolagano Ecumenical Theological College in Botswana, Africa. He has served twelve years as an ordained minister in the South Kerala and Kanya Kumari Dioceses of the Church of South India. He took initiatives to set up a Theological Education by Extension (TEE) program in CSI South Kerala diocese, and served as a lecturer of the Church Workers Theological Training Program of the CSI Kanyakumari diocese. He served on voluntary basis as Convener, National Network of Community Workers [N.G.O.] in Botswana, and as Convener, Coordinating Committee for TEEs in Africa.
