The Bachelor of Divinity compels these requirements in addition to the above:

These requirements are compulsory for both the Diploma and BD programs.

Re-Admission

Re-admission into the seminary varies depending on the nature in which the student was dismissed.
Students dismissed from the seminary because of disciplinary actions can be re-admitted upon the
approval of the President of the seminary once the disciplinary time period has been served. The readmitted
student would continue study from the period of departure if course requirements were not
satisfied.
.
Those dismissed due to medical reasons or any other extenuating circumstances have to make up the
necessary course work depending on the consent of the President and faculty. Either the student can
complete the requirements for the course, or the instructor can arrange for other academic work to be
completed to satisfy course requirements. Students are encouraged to consult with the lecturer to arrange
work for the course requirements to ascertain that necessary requirements can be satisfactorily met by the
culmination of the new semester. Those who dropped out or who were subject to academic dismissal need
to go through the entire admission process in order to be re-admitted into the seminary (see also Student
Handbook).

Breadth Examination

All BD candidates are required to pass the Breadth Examination. This exam is designed to demonstrate
academic level competence in the student's area of concentration and in related theological and religious
studies fields. It is also intended to establish a base of knowledge considered prerequisite to determine if a
student needs coursework supplementary to their requirements. Successful completion of the exam
demonstrates the ability of the student to engage in BD studies. The exam is proctored by the Registrar.
Students must pass the exam in the following five (5) areas:

• Theology
• Bible
• Ministry
• Church History
• Cognate field

The Registrar's Office provides in advance the exact date, time, and place of the examination. It is the
responsibility of the student to consult the faculty member preparing the exam for a detail account and
nature of the examination. BD candidates are encouraged to utilize the seminary library for resources in
their preparation for the Breadth Examination. Students who did not take the Breadth Examination and plan
to enroll after completion of Diploma are recommended to sit the Breadth exams. (Students are
encouraged to consult the Office of the Registrar for the date and time of the exams.)
